Lazaro was founded in Buenos Aires in 1948 by Lazaro Nielavitzky and his brother, at a time when craftsmanship meant patience, skill, and respect for materials. What began as a small workshop producing fine goatskin gloves grew into a lifelong dedication to leather craftsmanship.
In the 1980s, Lazaro’s youngest son, Jorge, joined the business and expanded the collection to include handbags, wallets, and more leather accessories. His focus was clear: create well-designed pieces that combine beauty, function, and durability -made to accompany women's everyday life.
The passion & commitment for craftsmanship are values that Lazaro has handed down to Jorge. For which are now being passed on to his children, Josefina & Roman, the third generation, bringing a modern perspective while staying true to the family’s way of working. Every piece is still handcrafted in Buenos Aires, in small batches, with attention to detail and care.
